Built in 1964, the Inter-Continental was located on Pago Pago Bay. Architects Wimberly, Allison, & Tong were responsible for the design of the Intercontinental (as well as the Waikikian in Hawaii, Tahiti's Hotel Bora Bora & Tahara'a Hotel). Oceanic Arts in Whittier, CA was responsible for the decor.
