The Aku Aku Polynesian restaurant was located at the Stardust Resort & Casino, in Las Vegas. The Aku Aku was open for 20 years, from 1960-1980. The giant moai which guarded the entrance to the Aku Aku was later moved to Sunset Park, an artificial lake in Las Vegas. The Stardust recently closed to make way for a new hotel and casino.
