The Hawaiian Village was built in the 1950's by Fritz Burns & Henry Kaiser. They purchased the Niumalu Hotel, along with 8 oceanfront acres, to build the Hawaiian Village, which started out with 70 thatched-roof guest cottages in the 1950's.
In 1961 the property was purchased by Hilton, and the hotel became the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Building and expansion has continued from the '50's through present day.
This Room Service menu is from the early 1960's, just after the name change. Artwork by noted Hawaii artist Stanley Stubenberg graces the cover and inside of this menu, as well as other Hawaiian Village menus.
