Kau Kau Korner was located at Kapiolani Blvd & Kalakaua Ave in Waikiki. Owned by H.P. "Sunny" Sundstrom, it was in business from the 1930's until around 1960. This 1940's placemat (with illustration by Mundorff) includes a caricature of owner Sunny, on the lower left corner, beneath their signature Crossroads of the Pacific sign.
Kau Kau Korner was replaced by Coco's Coffee House in 1960, which was then replaced by the Hard Rock Cafe in 1986.
