The Hotel Aimeo became the 4th of the Bali Hai Hotels in 1982, when it was taken over by the "Bali Hai Boys", Hugh Kelley, Jay Carlisle, and Don "Muk" McCallum. The Aimeo (located on Cook's Bay) was renamed Club Bali Hai, and converted into a timeshare resort with several units kept as hotel rooms for non-owners. Its still has the the least expensive overwater bungalow prices on Moorea.
Jay & Muk still run the Club Bali Hai, and Muk hosts a b.y.o.b. happy hour almost nightly, sharing stories of the early 1960's adventures of the trio.
